Hello people!
I was wondering if anyone happened to have a solidworks file of a 1/2 hex tube that you might be willing to share?
Thanks.

There's a CAD model of the VEXPro VersaChassis Hex Shaft here (http://www.vexrobotics.com/vexpro/west-coast-products/versachassis.html) (towards the bottom of the page). It's not exactly stock, but it could probably be modified in the program to fit what you need.

We normally pull them out of other assembly files.

I know there are some in the AM14U step file.

Did you try www.solidworks.com/first. I'm not near a computer but it might be in the SolidWorks Kop. I'll check tomorrow. Marie

The good news is I remember parts that are named after pastry.
Download the www.solidworks.com/FIRST kop

In the Kitbot folder you will find churo 3375 and 15750. There are also two assemblies with mounting holes/screws.

Open churo 3375. Save the part with a new filename. AM created the original in native SolidWorks format so you will be able to easily modify the sketch. Edit the sketch. The sketch has a few key dimensions. Change the hole diameter 1st to .2. Add a construction circle around the hex to create a diameter. That way you can control the dimensions easier.

Just draw it...sketch a hexagon inscribed in a half inch circle...offset to whatever wall thickness you desire...extrude to length. Faster than downloading!
