Wrapping a wheel= no scuffs

Hello we were wondering if any teams have wrapped their wheels in a shooter mechanism in anything to prevent scuffing. Or if you have any ideas to stop our wheeled shooter from scuffing?

We are using the white treaded 6" wheels. To prevent scuffing we ground down the edges so there are no exposed corners of the tread.

We rounded off the tread on the grey rubber AndyMark wheels.
