Student on team #116, Epsilon Delta, from Herndon High School and NASA Headquarters.

As the 6 weeks of building near their conclusion and FIRST robots across the nation begin to be assembled, I begin to wonder what everybody's strategy is. Are more teams concerned with getting more multipliers or a higher base score? Do most of the robots in the competition have huge arms for manipulation balls or small ones for manipulating goals? I would appreciate any comments anyone may have. Thank you and God speed.

We are planning to avoid all balls (they consume too much time) and get the higher time and goal multipliers. If necessary, we can handle a couple of big balls with a single arm.

This will require ALL of the teams in the Alliance to agree on this strategy.

(see previous message "the ideal game")
What do you think?

What's wrong with big arms for manipulating goals? :)
