This looks pretty amazing. Are you planning to add anything to help secure the ball as you drive? Do you have a way to shoot multiple shots/passes or is it just a high goal finisher?

Do you have an expected weight? I remember your base was pretty heavy during the off-season.

On your collector do either of the rollers pivot to go around the ball or are you able to just compress it through? What's the spacing? Will you be able to retract them or do they just stay deployed the whole match?

We have added tubes to the chassis to help hold in the ball, along with aiding in catching. Our expected weight calculations are in the 110 ballpark. our Rollers do not pivot, but they are flexible enough to allow the ball to compress through them. They also actuate up to help hold the ball in along with being able to reverse the ball back out.

Looks good and I think you choose a great drive train for this year. It is amazing what an efficient CAD team can do for you.

My team is also experimenting with the same type of rollers to pick up the ball and is concerned about the system's strength. What type of materials are your rollers made of and how are they attached to their gearboxes?

our rollers are made out of schedule 80 PVC with rubber tubing for grip. We have heat formed the end of the PVC using a hex shaft so the slide right on the output shaft of the gearboxes. We then just drilled a hole through the shafts and pvc, and locked it in with a bolt.

yes 1/2" schedule 80. We are using basically very large ID surgical tubing.
