It's team 550 again. We're having trouble mounting the drill housings. Any easy way to mount the cut down plastic drill on an aluminum floor?

I'm assuming you cut off the handle of the drill then.
You'll want to build some sort of mounting bracket for
the drill then (if you have someone skilled in sheet
metal this is their time to shine). It can take a
generic U shape sized for the drill and then just but
some sort of strap to hold it down. You can see some
pictures of what we've done on our website below.

You can use the drill housing - Sligthly enlarge the screw holes in the case - Then use either dry wall screws into plywood or bolt through to aluminum plate -
1/4 inch or so - you also can reinforce with shims or
pillowblocks cut out of wood, plastic or aluminum.
Good luck.
