View Full Version : Jaguar Limit Switch Not Working
We have a jaguar with the limit switch jumpers removed. The Jaguar is still able to go forward and reverse.
We find this quite baffling. I can't find a mode for the Jaguar where this happens.
We're looking for ideas for how this might be possible.
Thanks
I'm not too sure, but could it have been put into voltage ramping mode (turning the jumpers 90 degrees)? I'm not sure if these settings persist after a reboot without them actually having jumpers, though. Have you tried installing the jumpers the correct way for a limit switch, applying power, and seeing if it acts as expected?

Thanks Cecil. That is the next step. We installed the jumpers to determine if that resets the jaguars. That was my reading of the specs as well.

Yes, both limit switches removed at boot, disables limits and enables ramp mode. I think the idea was that at boot it did not make sense to be both at the positive and negative limits of travel. What are you trying to accomplish with the limit switches?

I would classify that as a non-feature.
The data sheet for the Jaguar says that installing the limit switches horizontally causes the ramp mode to be engaged.
Let me guess, horizontally is the equivalent of open. Doh!
Thanks. Grrrr.
