Kind of a crazy year for us. Lots of learning and challenges (but that's what makes it worth it).
Let us know what you think.

Awesome video! :)
Do you guys have any issues picking up runaway balls? Other than that, looks like another solid robot from you!

Kind of a crazy/strange/corny video, but my type of humor. Well done and good luck this year!

When we are chasing down a ball from behind, it can be a little bit of a run down.
BUT!
If we hit the side wall at a perpendicular, we can pick up easily. Or, if the ball is rolling towards us, we can pick up easily too. It's the one instance where the ball is rolling away from our side and into the other side that slows us down.
We love how fast we can inbound with the grippers (inbounder simply tosses it right into our robot). Plus, with a little practice, we can catch a ball from a truss shot (did this multiple times yesterday).
I'll post some Week Zero footage at some point today that shows what I'm talking about.

This is already one of my favorite reveal videos of all time. Well done guys.

Wow. New favorite non-1529 robot. I'll be looking for this machine in St. Louis.

Great job! Yall really hit it out of the park!
Wow! Can't wait to see y'all at lake superior.
Are you guys at all worried about accidentally hitting other robots with that hammer?

I don't think they hit anyone yesterday! Although I do admit it is a little scary when they play defense.
I really like the way the hammer pull back makes sure the ball is all the way in the claw before it fires -- very slick feature.

We'd love to have you come to North Carolina in October for Thundering Herd of Robots....or....

(Reidsville is beautiful in the fall.)
Great release video, and great robot.
Sweet robot, both functionality and aesthetics/theme!
I couldn't tell from watching the video: is catching the ball entirely operator control and timing, or does the ball hitting the gripper trigger something? Looks like it is working great either way.
