I figured since this thread (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=115716) was nice last year, I'd do something similar, but keep it in a google doc so that it's easy to update throughout the season.

It probably seems a bit early, but I think it'll be cool to see the list of teams evolve and change over the course of the next six weeks of competitions. It'll be especially interesting to see the changes from when teams submit and win from the last few years, given the new multiple submissions rules.

Anyhow, the google doc can be found here. (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nJ6abB_hZ2iTLsuOmSzJg2XDMD1VkxrvRMEjZezFyzc/edit) Let me know if you think there should be anything added to the sheet.

Lastly, congratulations to all the teams who have won the Chairman's Award this year, and all those who will win! We're in for one of the most competitive Chairman's season yet, and it's going to be a fun ride.

UPDATE: 8/3/14

Congratulations to 1939, Kuh-nig-its and 3476, Code Orange on your first Regional Chairman's Awards! You're both great teams and it's excellent to see you get the recognition you deserve.

Also, congratulations to 2522, Royal Robotics on their first District Chairman's Award-- good luck at the PNW Championships!

A special note of congratulations to Team 27, RUSH, who is now in the history books as the first District team to win a Chairman's Award outside of their District area. It was a pleasure competing with you guys this weekend, and I hope for the best as you guys go to St. Louis for the 12th year running. I personally hope you guys bring back the CCA soon-- you deserve it.

I'll be updating again tomorrow with the results of the events going into Sunday. As always, if you have any fun facts or statistics about this year's Chairman's Award winners, feel free to post them and I'll add them. Also, if anyone has the data from UNH District event, please post it-- I'm missing the winner from that event.

Link to the doc (also in the OP) (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nJ6abB_hZ2iTLsuOmSzJg2XDMD1VkxrvRMEjZezFyzc/edit)

I'd love to see the odds not only on a second year team winning chairman's, but doubling up with 2 banners at a single event. I'm rather curious if 4488 is the first to do this.

It'll be especially interesting to see the changes from when teams submit and win from the last few years, given the new multiple submissions rules.I'd like to enter 1676, but I'm not sure how. They won 2 RCAs, and were awarded DCA at MAR Mt Olive. In which row do they belong, 3 RCA or 3 DCA or...??

1676 is already on the sheet under 3 DCA-- when/if you win at MAR Champs, your team will be added as 3 RCA, which for the purposes of this sheet (to try to organize both DCA and RCA winners), is defined as a Chairman's Award that qualifies your team for Championships.

Just a suggestion: You could make the google doc editable like I did in this post (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=127145) for teams to add their robot information. It worked pretty well.

Congrats to all the teams who won Chairman's!

C'est fait. I'll still be checking and I expect anyone who updates to follow the distinction between DCA and RCA lists.

Congratulations to this weeks winners-- by my count we had at least 8 first time District/RCA winners!

I am missing data from Clifton, Utah, and St. Louis, so if someone could fill in the sheet here (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nJ6abB_hZ2iTLsuOmSzJg2XDMD1VkxrvRMEjZezFyzc/edit), that would be great!

Not to take anything away from 27's accomplishment, but this isn't quite correct--2016 won an RCA at Buckeye in 2013 (http://www.usfirst.org/whats-going-on/team/212871/?ProgramCode=FRC)

Well, I'll remove that then! Thank you for pointing out my error.

Indeed, congratulations. We already have 1986 on the sheet. (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nJ6abB_hZ2iTLsuOmSzJg2XDMD1VkxrvRMEjZezFyzc/edit) A reminder also that anyone can edit, so feel free to add anyone that isn't on there.

Here is a little more detailed spreadsheet that contains a little more information on each team. **This does not include district wins**

Please let me know if I have made a mistake for any of these teams so I can fix it right away!

I'm not sure if I understand the 'consecutive wins' column. If you have'nt had any consecutive wins, that counts as one? I think if you won four in a row, that should count as three consecutive. But it seems to me that you've counted every single win as 'consecutive'. As long as you're consistant, I guess that's fine.

Either way, you have team 1108 saying '1' and that's not right, I think it should be '3', counting 04,05,06. And team 27, with 07,08,09,10 I believe counts as '4' in your system, but says '3'.

Nice chart and interesting information. Thanks.

I think it could also be read as "current streak."

Red2486
26-03-2014, 10:40
Oh sorry, it is current consecutive wins. So if a team didn't win last year but they won this year it is 1 consecutive win. If they have won the award the last 4 years (14, 13, 12, 11) then it is 4 consecutive wins. It isn't the longest consecutive wins, it is the most recent. Sorry for not explaining that.
