FRC3005 doesn't quite have the travel budget this year to do two regionals like we would prefer, but 5 of our mentors will be attending Hub City (about to leave in an hour) as volunteers.
Between the 5 of us, we'll be representing as a Chairman's Judge, Robot Inspector, Field Tech Adviser Assistant, Field Ref, and Controls System Adviser.
Look forward to seeing as many of you as we can out there! We're certainly looking forward to it.
(If anyone is aware that there will be a webcast, could they pleas add a link to this thread when they get the chance so I can update the original post?)
I've heard two different things at this point.
1. 2468 is running the webcast, but they require a live line.
2. The regional is putting on their own webcast.
Either way I think there will be a webcast. I just hope it's better than last year's iPhone webcast.
(The only reason they even had that much was thanks to a student on team 1986)

Cool! We're going to be leaving tomorrow at 5:30 AM so we can be there before the morning pit setup.

It is a little of both with the support of Code Red. 2468 is working with Hub City Tournament officials and Code Red to bring everyone the webcast of the event.
We will post the information here as well as you can find the link on Code Red's Webpage: http://www.coderedrobotics.com/webcast/

Well the AdamBots just got in town for the competition.
What's there to do while in Lubbock?

This is a pretty good place to start looking for things to do there:

However, since I have never been to Lubbock except for robot competitions, I cannot attest to whether or not those are the best things to do there.

There's honestly nothing to do in Lubbock except for Main Event and some bowling alleys...

Team 4301 checkin in! This regional doesn't seem to have too many advanced teams (our team isn't super advanced, but we've got our stuff together!), so in all I actually think this regional is going to be very interesting! We look forward to both fighting and working with everyone!

Fighting?!? Last I checked, our machine wasn't much of a fighter.

2914 is here and enjoying making new friends out here in Texas. Spent the day getting mechanical things sorted, but our cameras are calibrated, drive train is locked in and we are ready to rock tomorrow morning.

Congratulations to the champions, 1817, 2468, and 5320! You all were a blast to watch and to compete with! It was fun being in Texas again, but we're headed out tomorrow morning to our Michigan weather. Supposed to be near freezing by the time we reach Rochester Hills.

Team 4063, TRikzR4kiDz, would like to thank Team 4153, Project Y, for picking us and Team 1801, The Dapper Dans to create a powerful #7 alliance. We had a great run, knocking of the #2 and #3 alliances before falling to the #1 alliance (1817, 2468, 5320). Congratulations to the Llano Estacado RoboRaiders, Team Appreciate and the Cyber Hornets for winning the Hub City Regional. Team 4063 would also like to thank the judges, we can home with a quite a bit of hardware...

I didn't bring a tripod, nor enough memory or battery to film very many. And it takes a while to upload them here at less than 1mb/s

Thank you very much for helping us run the field! Also, you guys left your flag on the field, so I've given it to some of the members of 3005 to give back to you in Dallas!

I realize that this is a bit late, but I wanted to thank everyone at Hub City for putting on a wonderful event. Those of use on GRT had a blast, and appreciated the hospitality of the many local teams.
