Hello! We're wondering if this is allowed in autonomous.
Start in the white zone.
Move forwards (and get 5 mobility points) and enter the goalie zone.
Score in one or both of the low goals (and get ?? points).
Wait in the goalie zone until the end of autonomous.
Thanks!

Yes, that's legal, what advantage does that give you though?

No advantage whatsoever, I just wanted to make sure I could make a legal autonomous mode while maximizing points (since I found out recently that most of what I've been programming in autonomous has been illegal in robot movements!)

Sorry for hijacking the thread, but I have a question about autonomous scoring.
For our code, we currently shoot a buzzer beater, having the ball leave the robot but not be scored by the time the 10 seconds are up. Would this get the auto scoring bonus or no?

From the Q&A
https://frc-qa.usfirst.org/Question/45/during-autonomous-do-balls-have-to-cross-through-the-goal-before-the-end-of-the-period-or-will-it-be-scored-as-long-as-it-completely-leaves-the-robot-before-the-clock-hits-zero-is-it-like-a-buzzer
Q45
Q. During autonomous, do balls have to cross through the goal before the end of the period, or will it be scored as long as it completely leaves the robot before the clock hits zero? Is it like a buzzer beater in basketball?

A. We apologize for the confusion. Please see Team Update 2014-01-14. SCORES will be credited once the criteria are met. If all criteria are not met before the AUTO timer reaches zero seconds, the AUTO bonus will not be applied.

What was illegal about it?

I made our robot start in the goalie zone with a ball (big mistake right there) and make it move out of the goalie zone (another mistake).

You realize that the Goalie Zone you can start in is on the opponent's side of the field (immediately in front of your driver station), right?
Otherwise, you start on your side of the TRUSS, within the white zone (the far side from your driver station).
The goals you score in, are on the far side of the field, above/beside the opponents driver station.
