Everyone,
I had a chance to meet a great team in Wisconsin this weekend and they showed me this challenge.
thanks to team 192. It is quite an interesting twist for teams that have to share resources...

Someone should really forward this to the GDC, 2015 game?

I see some problems for the GDC to fix.
1. No rules preventing full court shooting.
2. That endgame is WAY overpowered.
3. Unless your drive team is extremely skilled they are incapable of completing the end game.
4. Field reset time could be up to 20 minutes.
5. Due to the new reduced field size I don't see how plowie can get hit by this years game piece in the game animation.
Will there be a Coach for the drive team?

"A defensive strategy is largely discouraged."
This made my day.

Will there be a Coach for the drive team?
There is only 1 driver and he is the only one allowed to touch the controls.

I don't think 120 or 140 seconds is long enough for teleop.

One of our students created this version of Aim High last January and it has been posted since them. Some rules are ment to be followed.
...and there will be only one poncho in KOP, they will not be available for sale till week 1 tournament!
Worst game since 2003.
No clearly defined ALLIANCE STATION
Volunteers will be near impossible to find for field reset and refereeing
Goals are not strictly defined, leaving a lot up to the judges
Field design causes horrible acoustics
Unless the bowl is clear, this is a HORRIBLE game for spectators and everyone not on the drive team
No easily constructed version of the field for teams unless they go buy specific COTS parts which will likely end up in short supply (orbit balls, anyone?)
Defense is discouraged but not illegal. Without safe zones this game is going to be rough and tumble and serious damage can occur to the participants.
Teams will not want to be open about their strategies, making scouting unneccessarily difficult.
The nature of the game will exacerbate "Week 1" kinks in the game almost to a breaking point.

Complaining about the game is an automatic ejection from all district and regional events, as well as rejection to the World championship event. (for those who get a free pass)

Worst game since 2003.
No clearly defined ALLIANCE STATION
If it's not obvious where the operators should be, I don't want to be on field reset.

I don't want to be on field reset anyway!

Teams are strongly advised to drop their bumpers before shooting.

Maybe its me but this game sounds corny.
All electronics must fit within a protective plastic bag and remain there for the entirety of the match.
