Is this some kind of record? What are the records for most blue banners or regional/district wins per season?

There are a handful of 5 banner seasons. 1114 did it in 2012.
Congrats to 125. That's quite an accomplishment.

359 won three regionals and a regional chairmans in 2010.
Thanks for all the kind words. It's been a wild, crazy three weeks. Sometime this week or after the season I'll probably post a whitepaper of some sorts with all of our Chairman's stuff (essay, binder, presentation script, video, etc...)

Thanks for the shoutout. While I can't speak for 558 (but I'm sure the same holds true) 125 has been an amazing role model for teams in the Northeast. Aside from always being ready to help teams and host events they have made the finals at 10 of the last 11 regionals/districts they have attended! A record like that is for the elite teams! It also looks like they hold the record for the most banners before District Champs or Champs only matched by the dominate 1114 Overdrive performance.
Congratulations 125 you guys earned it! But I still think you are crazy! ;)

I would think that 125 at least has the most Blue Banners in 3 weeks record! That is crazy stuff, they must be exhausted!
Congrats to a fantastic team, so well deserved!

1983 pulled this feat last year, winning 4 banners at 3 consecutive regionals. It's an incredible feat, congrats to 125, hope to see you guys at Champs!

How is a team with 4 blue banners (3 competition related) not ranked in the Top25?

Popularity contest, i.e. household name as part of the metrics?
Timing of wins?
Unlike real top 25 rankings in sports, there are teams that drop heavily just by not competing the following week. Or move high up after just 1 win out the entire 6 weeks.
Maybe other metrics need to be considered instead of just voting? Voting would work better if everyone was required to submit their votes.

Congrats on your spectacular season! It was great pairing up with you guys last year at Boston! Your robot is killer as usual.
I'm curious why you switched your drive team the week before district champs. Was it a "spread the wealth" ideology or was it some other reason? Also was the decision made ahead of time or not?
Good luck at District Champs and hopefully Championship as well!

I can now say competing for 3 consecutive weekends (with the 4th coming this weekend) is in fact crazy. We're certainly enjoying the ride, but it may be one of those where one ride is enough.

Going into the season we knew we were not going to attend a 'travel' regional for the inaugural NEFIRST season. We decided on 3 district events with hopefully a DCMP after. After NEFIRST opened registration to all teams for a 3rd event, there were still several open slots at events left over. We found out it was feasible for us to register for a 4th event and decided if we did so, we wanted to try something new and send an all-girls squad.
The rookie drivers were slated to drive at Pine Tree as soon as we signed up for the event. The success at previous events was not going to be a factor in who we had drive in that event, as we only signed up for the 4th one for them.
The 'rookie' drivers looked anything but that on the field and kept our streak alive. One of the most proud moments I've ever had as a member/mentor of a FIRST team.

So, we've played 4 districts but we've also had an entire districts worth of replays (12), and a preseason event on this bot (10 matches). With our 54-18-0 record that comes out to 94 matches of Aerial Assist under brutal New England defense.
Just some fun facts.

Having known these mentors from the time they were freshmen at Northeastern and seeing them mature into the mentors they are gives me extreme pride in working with them as a Senior Mentor (and friend) in many of the endeavors they have accomplished. From organizing Beantown Blitz to hosting Getting in Gear ( a preseson training seminar) this group is just beginning to hit their stride as mentors.
To the students from Boston Latin, Revere and Brookline HS --I hope you appreciate what you have. (I know you do!) Great job! A 3peat and a CA is no small task. Hang on, the ride is just beginning.:)
