View Full Version : [Division Notifier] Text messages for divisions
Division Notifier (http://divisions.frcmega.com/) is back for 2014. Division Notifier will send you a text message when divisions get released, letting you know what field your team is playing on.
http://divisions.frcmega.com/.
There's support for US/Canada, Mexico, Brazil, the Netherlands, and Israel. If you want a country code added, send me a private message and I'll add it.
For IE users: The place holder text in the fields probably won't show up for you. The first field is a phone number, the second field is your team number

Nice work, Zach! Always impressed with what you put out.

Silly IE, making everything difficult...
So is the end all for aredivisionsoutyet.com?

That's because the actual FIRST page for the champs team list is down.

Zach, thanks again for what you do. There is so much good stuff out there for FRC robonuts by FRC robonuts; it is amazing what has developed over the past 3-5 years. From the Megaphone to FRC Notebook to At The Control. It just keeps getting better. I wish FRC existed when I was in High School.....
Curious - what happens if you enter the number of a team that isn't going to champs?

You won't receive a text message.

You won't receive a text message.
And if you do, then its time to do some ridiculously quick fundraising.

This is great, much better than frantically refreshing a page until the divisions are posted.

Just to make sure, Google Voice is supported for a US number? I know some online text messaging services don't support it.

Yep. Google Voice is supported.
Three texts later, everyone should have a text with a field. Sorry about the problems. FIRST made a few changes I wasn't prepared for. Thanks for using Division Notifier!

Haha it may have taken 3 but after the first blank text I jumped onto CD. It did its job!

I don't believe I got a text...I registered last night if that makes a difference.

They may still be rolling out. I sent a full first round and a partial second round before I fixed everything. With ~700 people signed up, it takes a minute to get all the texts. Sorry about that.

That's unfortunate. I missed the "2014" in the thread while I was reading it, all the way to the end... doh!
