Hey everyone! I am looking to put together another video like I did for Rebound Rumble- available here on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGkPTFUmvCM)- and I need your help!

I am looking for YouTube links to the best competition moments in Aerial Assist. These can include, first solo two ball auto, first solo three ball auto, first truss toss and catch, first perfect cycle, first perfect auto, great plays etc.

The final video will premiered on the FRC Top 25 show next week! Stay tuned to the FRCTop25 "Post Championship" thread for details on that show.

Thanks everyone! I look forward to seeing all of these videos!

Definitely try to show all of the different ways teams went about getting 3 assists at champs, particularly the 3 seed, 5 seed, and 8 seed on Archimedes. The 254 v. 1114 chess match on Einstein was epic. Some other great matches were Waterloo semifinals with 254 and 2056, inland empire finals match 2 when 399 caught two balls en route to a win, 2481 had some great shooting moments in Galileo elims... I could go on for a while but these were the moments that stuck out to me.

In qualification match 42 of the Northeastern District, one side of 3467's rings snapped. Luckily because of the symmetry our robot fad this year, we were able to spin 180 degrees around and still make a 10 point shot with seconds remaining. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJM_RzFtGCw (around 2:20)

On the other hand... Do pick, they don't get Technical Fouls for G12 violations. (At IRI, that'll probably be no foul at all...) Fastest possession I've ever seen...

If you can find video of it, during Qualification match 81 on archimedes 1671 makes what I believe to be the farthest (albeit unintentional) catch in Aerial Assist: a 45 ft toss falls just short of the human player and lands in their robot.

Also, you've got to include one of the 1918 death cycles.

I'm impartial to a few cool moments that we experienced this season.

At 2:20 in this video the front side of our shooter ring snaps meaning the ball is no longer supported and at first reaction our shooter is dead. Our drivers reacted quickly with the time left on the clock and just shot out the back of the robot for a last second score.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJM_RzFtGCw

At 1:54 in this video our partners 58 The Riot Crew missed just high but the ball bounced off of the low goal in and in for 10 points.

We approached 33 and 1671 about a particular strategy we thought all our bots could really play well, and they accepted it with a few contingency plans in case it didn't work. The first 2 cycles we are getting a feel for it, but by the 3rd cycle we were all on our game and it made for awesome 3 assist cycles!

I would think so, it technically follows the definition of a catch I believe.

It did not contact the human player. It did not contact the carpet. It did not contact the robot shooting over the truss. It was possessed (carry OR trap, your choice) by a robot of the proper alliance.

That better have been counted as a catch... assuming the refs weren't too busy picking their jaws up off the floor from the shock.

Including bizarre ways? How about the infamous "touch and go" strategy of 1511 during the Finger Lakes Regional?

Please include an example of a 60 point cycle!

And our favorite play of the day at Champs, when 971 (I think) blocked all the opponents balls in autonomous on Newton.

(Sounds like 973, Greybots, may have done the same thing in Galileo.)

Amazing - our team pursued the exact same strategy in the Curie eliminations. One of the other pit crew was explaining it to me and I'm sure I gave him a "You're going to WHAT?" look... but darn if it didn't work. You can almost picture the defense pausing and saying "What the heck did they just do?"

Galileo Q36 had one of the most epic finishes I'd seen all year. Down 5 points with time quickly winding down, 67 frantically got the ball on the inbound and, with heavy defense from multiple robots pushing them away from the truss, pulled the trigger on a hail mary truss shot as the buzzer sounded. It hit the top of the truss and then bounced over securing them a 5 point victory. It was pretty awesome.

I didn't get to tune into the show tonight - any way the youtube link to the video can be posted?

The Best Moments video is currently up on www.frctop25.com and also available on our YouTube channel. I hope everyone enjoys what Mike was able to put together.

We hope you will all join us for our pre-IRI show!

We had a moment here on Archimedes where we shot a ball over a truss, it hit the other ball, bounced off our 3rd robot and was caught by 1939.

Watch at 2:15. Just about a 1 in a million.

Was just watching this one again, and 1939 did catch the ball. Also, the ball blocked the other team's truss shot. That was cool too.

Still lost the match, but that was a great moment.

You won that match by 20 points.
(So that shot got your alliance 10 points for the catch, and prevented us from getting 10 points for getting the truss. It could be argued that the shot influenced the outcome of the match.)

10K Lakes Quarter 2-1 (http://www.thebluealliance.com/match/2014mnmi_qf2m1), 2705 shoots it into the low goal in auto.

10K Lakes Quarter 2-2 (http://www.thebluealliance.com/match/2014mnmi_qf2m2), 2705 passes it to 3202 in auto, who puts it into the low goal at the start of teleop.

Either one of these would have been lucky, but doing these back-to-back is pretty ridiculous.

That is match 125. Our teams won that match. 2996, 1939, and 2907. With a score of 157-137 us.

In the longest truss catch, there is a mistake. The trusser is team 203, not team 1671.

Thanks for the correction, there weren't many that went our way, and it took some excellent work from 2996 and 2907 and a lot of luck to win against a very good red alliance in that one. Blue Cheese had a great machine.

If nobody has posted already. That's given a lot of people I know a good laugh...

I would think getting footage of rookie teams experimenting with a functional prototype or robot for the first time would be pretty meaningful.

You can see me on the left of the Blue Cheese driver station at the very end!

Just found an amusing truss shot by 3539 which bounces off of the ref stand an cause the ref flag to fly onto the field. An FTA grabbed it quickly from the field! :yikes:

I wonder if that human player's feet were glued to the ground.
