We were fortunate enough to be invited by the Arizona Diamondbacks to throw the opening pitch at today's game with a slightly modified Bruce! Here's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TULOgonXHI0
Edit: The idea has come across in the thread for this on the sub-reddit that next years game will be somehow related to baseball. The name: Who's on FIRST?

That's awesome, great job introducing that many people to FIRST.

Have any other teams done first pitch at a baseball game beside 503 (and now 1165)?
Rats!
If I'd known I would have gone to the game.
Looks like you had fun.

Does minor league count? We don't have an MLB club nearby, but Team 3489 (Category 5) did throw out the first pitch at a Charleston Riverdogs (Single-A NY Yankees affiliate) game in the summer of 2012. It was a purpose-built spinning wheel shooter mounted to a modified version of our Logomotion chassis. It was a lot of fun, and great training for the students.

Unfortunately, neither really describes what FIRST is, but I figured that you'd still like to see how people reacted. Congratulations!
I just saw this on ESPN Sports Nation congrats on the coverage. They were impressed

We have done it at our minor league Staduim on July 3rd and 4th for the past two years.

My little brother (who is barely aware of FIRST despite my attempts to convert him), ran downstairs to my desk and showed me this when I got home from school a couple days ago. First time that's ever happened. Great job making it loud!

Haha, this is awesome!
I wonder if any of the Baltimore teams could convince the O's to let them do this...
Cyber Blue threw out a pitch at the AAA Indianapolis Indians game a couple years ago. I also remember seeing a Pittsburgh or Philadelphia team doing it in the majors? Last year the Detroit Tigers featured a robot as well.

I looked all over this morning for it on the ESPN website and could not find a thing. You may be able to contact them and see if they have the video.

How did the robot get out to the pitcher's mound? Did they let you drive it out or were you required to pick it up so it would not damage the infield grass? We have been trying to work this out with the Houston Astros.

Lefty Circuits threw out the first pitch at an Indianapolis Indians game in July 2012.
We had it placed on the field and targeted for a strike before the opening, and then drive it off the mound and to the side of the field. We had modified the drive to give us more ground clearance to be able to drive through grass.
