Wow, really excited to see another New England off-season event close to home in the fall. Kudos to 319 for organizing this.
Not sure we have all of our fall plans in line but hopefully we can attend.
5122 will be there !!! Hope to give the Bot one last test before retirement.

Thanks so much, 5122. We are interested in how the transition to the new CRIO went for you. Specifically how the Eclipse installation, JAVA and the WPIlib all meshed together. We have used NetBeans in the past.
Hi all, Is this event happening? I have seen nothing about it in a while.

I know 4564 is pumped and counting the days!

While I feel that more teams will sign up in the coming days, teams bringing two robots could always help to bump up the numbers if necessary. Hopefully it won't be an issue!
How much to enter a second robot?:D

If second bots are needed our practice bot is intact minus a few sensor issues.

Really wish that 1058 could go! Unfortunately we just have too much stuff going on during November. I hope the event runs smoothly and everyone has fun!
We're thinking of coming up from Newton, Massachusetts.
Is there any more information about the event? Start time? End time? We have to figure out if we can make this a day trip.
How many teams are already registered?

Information can be found here. (http://www.frc319.com/#!battleofthebay/aboutPage) (Hover over "Battle of the Bay" for details.)
The event will be from 8am-5pm. A more detailed schedule is still in the works and will be posted on the site above.
Currently, we have 10 teams registered (11 including BOB):
58 Riot Crew
501 Power Knights
1922 Oz-Ram
4564 Orange Chaos
5122 RobOTies
4925 The Resistance
1831 Gilford High School Screaming Eagles
3467 The Windham Windup
1519 Mechanical Mayhem
2648 Infinite Loop
Second robots are more than welcome. If we don't make it to 24 teams, everyone will get a ton of qualification matches and we'll run a modified elimination round. We're also entertaining the possibility of other fun things such as a mentor/student role-swap match and a human player competition.
If you have any ideas or suggestions, let us know!

To answer the question that has popped up a couple of times, there will be no additional charge to teams bringing a second robot!
Looks like we have three in the works now. Please confirm. Thanks

Excellent. Just fill out the registration form (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1qiqFeLFdLkWfQfiC2k8Tw3XyJO6_6OgIzz7y6KOv42A/viewform) again with your other robot.
Disclaimer:
We'll run second robots on a first come, first served basis. Teams registering a first robot will be given priority over second robots starting with the latest team to register a second robot and ending with the first team.
Disclaimer:
If you bring a second robot, you will be automatically paired with them for alliance selection.
:) kidding.
I'm pumped to see so many of our friends from the various events showing up. It should be a blast.

Would you like teams to sign up under a different number with the same name to signify another bot, or should we just enter the same information again? Thanks!

The system requires a different number to run a match. so feel free to pick any number that isn't already on the list. Maybe something >6000 so the results don't screw teams up with posted to TBA?

:)
Trying to Help
Congratulations and thank you to BOB and everyone who helped, and to all the teams that went. It was very well run and went so smoothly that I could not tell that this was the first time the event was run. I really like that we have 2 fall off season events now in the area, RiverRage and Battle of the Bays, and look forward to next year.

What a well run event! Big thank you to Brian Hikel, Ty Tremblay, 319, and all of the other volunteers who made the day run so well! It was hard to tell this was a first time event with so many small details adding to the overall experience.
I had a great time volunteering and know 3467/3476 had a great time as well despite a slew of communication problems. We will definitely be back next year and hope to see more teams take advantage of another great New Hampshire off-season event!

I would like to thank Big Bad Bob for hosting such a great event. It was hard to believe that it was a first year event because of how smooth everything went. 2648 and 4648 both had a blast , it was a great way to send off aerial assist and our aerial assist robots!
