With so many teams registering for this year's events, there are some exciting events forming. Which events are you looking forward to seeing, whether it be live or via webcast?

I am excited about seeing both Dallas and MAR Hatboro-Horsham, they look like they will be pretty competitive.

Waterbury. Its going to be great competing in our own city.

1) The final Virginia Regional... again... maybe: One of the longest running regionals will likely hold its last matches in the 2015 season since the state is supposed to go to districts in 2016. Even if you're unfamiliar with the Virginia Regional's great history of aggressively average competition (and you probably are), it's bittersweet for me.

2) 2015 FIRST Championships: One of the largest events in competitive robotics is about to get even bigger? Excited to see what's going to happen and how the community can proactively plan for the change and how FIRST will react to a larger footprint in StL.

3) Wherever 422 winds up in Week 1: I too, like to live dangerously. No matter where you go, the unbridled chaos surrounding a week 1 event can be a pressure cooker. I still like them well enough. Maybe we won't even end up at a Week 1, but eh, we'll see.

4) 2015 Mt Olive District Event (are we really calling them events again?) I want to make it out for my first district competition this year, and this looks like a good one to go to.

MAR Hatboro-Horsham

Agreed, the HH team roster is always pretty scary as far as MAR goes. I like to think of it as a mini-MAR Champs. Of course, by that extension I am also looking forward to MAR Champs

2015 Mt Olive District Event

This will be my first time attending MO as well, so I'm pretty excited for this one too.

Michigan State, the most competitive event in FRC

FTFY Couldn't agree more! I'll be there one day.

I do want to volunteer at some more events this year and travel to one on week 3 as my idea of a really off the rails spring break

The Purdue District. I've been attending the Boilermaker Regional since I was a high school freshman 2008, and as a current student at Purdue, I'm excited to see that they're making use of the new Rec Center rather than the Armory, which was too small for the event.

Dallas right now is signed up to have 3 past world champions, a ton of teams that did really well at Worlds and IRI, and then you still have the rest of the roster that looks amazing! I know personally I can't wait for Dallas! Can't wait to see all the amazing robots! Good luck to all teams.

The 2015 FIRST Championship. I hope to see FLL and FTC flourish more now that they don't have to compete with FRC for the spotlight.

For regular season (don't mind me, I'm more than a bit biased):
The Double DECCer, because it has a great atmosphere and is generally a very fun event. I'll also be excited to see who's visiting.
10K Lakes/ North Star: It'll be nice to see 525 return to the Cities, and we'll have a bunch of Chinese guests this year! Also excited to see Wave Robotics back in the Cities.

Outside of that, I'll be keeping an eye on, of course, the District Championship events (especially FiM and NE) and Wisconsin (especially if I can get over there to volunteer).

Also, the FTC North Superregional is during the same timeframe, and I'm betting that will be a blast as well.

Also I hear that it's going to be quite the Championships this season. Didn't make it down in 2014, but hopefully I'll be able to make it during the 2015 season!

I'm slightly biased towards the events that my team's attending, and events that have teams I know at. However here's my list:

Week 1: Northern Lights and Lake Superior (since I'll be at both)
Week 2: Mexico City
Week 3: Greater Kansas City
Week 4: Central Illinois
Week 5: Hawaii
Week 6: Arizona
Week 7: Michigan State

Although I'll probably just end up watching a variety of events every week. Our team meets three times a week, and on Thursday we always watch a bunch of practice matches at various events.

Now that most of the team list is out I would say the West Michigan district. 1/3 of teams currently registered were at state last year. And the past two years the number one seed has made it to Einstein, 862 and 74.

On usfirst.org it still lists EMU, but I already made a post questioning it.

Pure speculation for new venues, my thoughts for places large enough to host an expanded MSC (if expanded) were

Palace of Auburn Hills
Ford Field
Cobo Hall

Those were the things that came to mind. I don't know the space available in any colleges.

Its hard to predict which Events I'm looking forward to watch during 2015 due to the fact that teams have only signed up on 1 event so far but anyway Here is my list:

Week 1: Lake Superior/ Northern Lights Regional (Personally my favorite event in FRC even though this year it will take place during February making it even colder up in Duluth, i'm shivering already from thinking about it)

Week 2: Greater Toronto Central Regional(Powerhouse teams like 188, 610, 1114, 1241, and 1310 will be attending this Canadian regional)

Week 3: Los Angeles Regional (Powerhouse teams from the west coast like 330, 973, and 1717 will be attending)

Week 4: Wisconsin Regional( Last year was ridiculously competitive at Wisconsin)

Week 5: FIM District- Livonia Event( Powerhouse teams like 27, 67, and 217 will be attending this district event)

Week 6: Midwest Regional(Even though My team 2052 is registered for the 10k lakes regional for week 6 Midwest looks competitive this year)

I'm glad to hear that it's your fave event in FRC! I've only been to two regionals, and it was a great regional, but not nearly as good at the Double DECCer. I love that fact that there are two regionals occurring at the same time, under the same roof! It's just so many teams, and so many robots. I can't wait to see the list of teams attending this year.

118 always go to different places each year, similar to us.
I spoke with them in the past about that, and they mentioned going to at least 1 new place of the 3 they attend.
We try 2 new places annually since Hawaii is the only event in our area.

I'm looking forward to this event too. We've traditionally done pretty well at week 1 events, when teams are still trying to figure things out, but with a small event and a deep roster i think it'll be an exciting event that will help define how the game is played.

I'm not convinced. This game will leave plenty of teams unable to significantly make an impact in a match, especially early in the season. No doubt smaller than the 60 team regional CT is used to, but the regional atmosphere is still different than a district. Competing in high schools is much different than what we're used to. The change will be nice.

I also can't wait to compete with 30 or so teams that I have never been to an event with. Meeting new people and teams is always fun.

I'm really looking forward to SVR this year. The current team list is bringing a total of 13 blue banners from last year including 2 division winners. With great teams like 971 and 846 it's going to be a very tough regional for anyone to win. Then, of course, there's the poofs who have won this regional every year except for 2007. E.J. is it time to give up the throne?
