WXRE 2014

The WXRE on November 8th was supposed to be an all girl's event. We've gotten a fair amount of feedback that a lot of teams in this area either don't have enough girls for an event or the girls have graduated.

We have decided to make the event a normal event. We still need a fair number of teams to have our event.

We need more off season events on this side of the state so I would love it if we could have a lot of teams. We have a venue that could host a full event.

With the Bronco Robot Wrangle cancelled at WMU, we might look into this as an option... I'll have to ask at the meeting tomorrow.

We still need more teams to fill out the minimum roster for our event. Time is running short. We need at least a dozen teams to host the event.

Currently we have 5 teams signed up:
2054 : Tech Vikes
2959 : CW Tech Robotarians
3357 : The Comets
3546 : The Buck-N-Gears
3620 : The Average Joes

We have about a week before we have to make a final decision on whether to continue or not. Also if anyone knows of an FTA we are still in need of one for this event. We have the field, the location, volunteers are coming in, the food is all set, but we still need teams to attend and an FTA.

Unfortunately we have to cancel the WXRE due to lack of an FTA.

We are going to attempt to have one of our mentors train to be an FTA so off season events on this side of the state will have an FTA to call upon.

We will be holding a practice session toward the end of build season for the 2nd year in a row. Last year we almost were thwarted by the weather, but we were able to build a full size practice field and were able to hold some practice matches and a whole lot of practice truss shots.
