I'll try and post the high score from the MN tournament this weekend with breakdowns... Hopefully someone will get a video as well.

As I recall:

Autonomous
Ramp Yes (20 points)
Goals (ball in rolling goal 30)
Rolling goal in parking zone (20)
Kickstand (Yes 30)

Teleop
Goals (90 cm partially full approx. 220)

Endgame
Ramp (2 robots on ramp 2x30=60)
Center Goal (partially full 70 approx.)
Parking Zone (2 goals in parking zone =2x10=20)
rolling goal on ramp (30)

sorry numbers are the best guess

What happened in that match?

During Autonomous, a red robot died in front of the opening to the tower, and the blue robot's autonomous came over and released the kickstand. 9 balls fell into the dead robot, and at the start of the teleop, sat there for the whole two minutes. The other 374 points were points that 2844 scored.

Ouch.

At our state competition, the referees made the ruling that they wouldn't penalize dead robots, which cost us a match because the opposing robot died in front of our ramp and no robots/rolling goals could end on it. No penalties given at all.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure this is how it's meant to be called. At least this is how we called it in MN, and I know our head referee keeps up with Q&A religiously.

You are correct.

You are correct.

That seems inconsistent with the ruling that gave a 1000 point penalty to a dead robot. What am I missing? In the case of the dead robot obstructing the ramp, it denies the opposing team 150 points (okay, 100, since the parking is still available). In the case of the 4 extra balls "controlled" by the dead robot, there is really no impact to the other team.

(This probably goes in the "things I would change about FTC" thread.)

I believe 797 was just scored at East Super Regionals.

EDIT: WEST Supers, not East
