Robots running amok with samurai swords? Probably you'd have some difficulty finding emcees, game announcers, referees, field resetters, robot inspectors, etc. Very likely there would be issues raised by UL Safety Advisers.

Having the robots do something like they did at the start? That would be difficult, a ton of precision would be involved. But attaching large swords to the front of the robots and charging them at each other? Sure, why not?! ;)
