My team and I were trying to image the new roboRio so we can test the controls.
However, the computer is not recognizing the USB, and so the roboRIO imaging service through LabVIEW does not work.
We have uninstalled and reinstalled LabVIEW many times, including the updates through the "NI Update Service".
I suspect it is an issue with the driver not recognizing the roboRIO.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Did you install the LabVIEW DVD or the FRC Update Suite (http://www.ni.com/download/first-robotics-software-2015/5112/en/)?

We did the CD and the FRC Update Suite, then the NI Update Service.
You're imaging over USB and not Ethernet, right?

Correct, USB not Ethernet.

Does Windows recognize the USB ethernet driver?

We're going to do more troubleshooting tomorrow, but from what I remember, the computer recognizes that something is plugged into the USB port on the computer, but it does not have the drivers to support the roboRIO.
I don't know about the USB Ethernet driver, but I can update when I get back to school tomorrow.

Update: Windows does not recognize the USB ethernet driver.

The FRC update for your computer (the one that contains the driver station and the gamepad install) should also have your drivers for your RoboRIO, if not I would recommend going into device manager and manually specifying the driver, that should allow you to communicate with it like normal.

Thanks! We gave that a try today, but we weren't sure where the driver was. Do you know the directory of the correct driver? Thank you so much !

The only drivers I can find are for PXI C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\PXI\Drivers is PXI used for the roboRIO?

If you don't figure it out pretty quickly, please contact NI support. Start at ni.com/frc.
Greg McKaskle
The roboRIO USB Driver is at...
C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\CompactRIO\Staging\USBLAN
... but if it didn't auto-register you might have other problems, Greg's suggestion is probably best.

Okay, we figured it out!
Here is what we did in case anyone else has this problem:
1) Followed these directions for installing labVIEW completely:
https://wpilib.screenstepslive.com/s/4485/m/13503/l/145005-installing-labview-for-frc-2015-labview-only
2) Following the instructions for the update suite completely:
https://wpilib.screenstepslive.com/s/4485/m/13503/l/144150-installing-the-frc-2015-update-suite-all-languages
3) Download all NI Updates (one at a time and restart after each)
4) We also used a different USB A -> B cable to connect to computer
The computer finally recognized the roboRIO, so we'll configure it today!
Thank you all very much for the help, we really appreciate it. Good luck!
