Does anybody know when the new VersaFrame linear movement parts showcased in a video from Build Blitz will be released?

The new parts should be available on the VEXpro website tomorrow.

Until then, you can check them out in the VersaFrame linear elevator CAD file, which has just been posted (http://www.buildblitz.com/linear-elevator-is-complete/) on the Build Blitz website.

The link to the CAD file seems to be messed up at the moment. I'm getting a 404 Error page when I click on it.

Sorry about that - it was a temporary error with the file. The link has been fixed, and can be downloaded here (http://link.vex.com/cad/STEP/VersaFrame-Linear-Elevator).

Do you happen to know what the gearing on the VersaPlanetary was in the video?

Do you know what date the parts might be expected to ship? I see them on the website but they are still listed as coming soon. Also how soon might we find them at therobotspace as they are a short drive for us to just go and pick up.

Do you happen to know what the gearing on the VersaPlanetary was in the video? We had two 7:1 stages, for an overall reduction of 49:1.

As with any new item, taking a design from CAD to manufacturing to a shippable product is a process that is not to be treated lightly. We want to make sure that these new VersaFrame gussets will stand up to the same quality standards as those already in production (that have been through a season of on-field testing and feedback).

That said, these are going through the process at a very accelerated rate - we hope to have them shipping by early next week (hopefully sooner).

Just giving some feedback that Vex employees are welcome to contradict: I think some items that are being ordered are shipping out later than advertised. I ordered some drivetrain parts yesterday before 3pm (as it says on the site) and didn't get an email until tonight after business hours saying they shipped today. Delivery date isn't until next week. It isn't too bad to miss out on one weekend, but I'm guessing that things are backed up at this time and orders may not be fulfilled as quickly advertised. Just a word of warning, I can't imagine how swamped they must be right now.

In general if you are worried about an order, just give them a call. I had a large order I wanted to make sure got here by this weekend and two quick (on the phone less than 5 minutes total) calls solved the issues and we'll have our parts tomorrow. Their customer service is awesome.
