Attached is a spreadsheet I have developed for the upcoming FRC competition. It is designed for a team of six (preferably seven) statisticians to record and analyze data taken from the games during competition in order to select more effective alliance partners. The spreadsheet can work for up to 500 teams and 300 rounds at a time, before the data must be wiped, resetting the spreadsheet.

To record statistics, you will need an Ethernet hub and enough copies of Microsoft Excel, and share the spreadsheet from one computer to the others through this Ethernet hub. While it should work on older systems, I have only tested this program using Excel 2013 and Windows 8, so I cannot guarantee that older versions will work effectively. If you need any help, or have any suggestions as to how I can improve the program, please let me know at djowen777@hotmail.com.

Thank you,
Dakota Owen

I recently heard my old team complain that the system was impossible to use since there was no power in the stands. If this occurs, create seven copies of the file, give one copy to each statistician, and have them record on their given page without being connected to the Ethernet hub. Once you are done recording statistics, move all of the files onto one computer, then copy and paste each page into the seventh workbook. (If you don't know how to do this, please let me know.) So long as your laptops have battery life, you should be good to go. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help!

To provide power to laptops in the stands, 20 would use power inverters and robot batteries.
This works because we have many years of robot batteries that aren't necessarily healthy enough that we'd want to use them on a robot during a match, but also safe to use.

I wish I knew. I don't know where we got them from or anything. I just know we've been using them for years.
