Currently we are trying to install encoders for autonomous and we have AMT10-V series encoders. We couldn't find anywhere online whether or not the encoder can work with gearboxes. Any help with this would be great!
Thanks!

All an encoder does is count revolutions, put simply.
It'll definitely work with gearboxes, but mounting is something you need to figure out yourself.
We're trying to mount ours on the Toughbox Mini, but the only viable way we found we can do this is by adhering it with some sort of instant adhesive.

Got 3D printer?
CAD something innovative and print a mount.

We're using the Encoder Mount Pad (am-0208) (http://www.andymark.com/product-p/am-0208.htm) from AndyMark, adding two holes to match the larger pair of mounting holes on the AMT103 base.

I downloaded the .step file from CUI for the AMT103, but I can't manage to separate the base from the rest of the encoder. With that to start with, a 3d-printed mount would probably be a good project.
