We are going to attend the QC regional for the first time this year and with the height of the robots I had a question.
From the pits to the arena are there any standard height doors you need to go through?

Thanks

The pratice field and some of the pits are in an auxiliary gym. There is a hallway and at least one doorway. Jimmy from 1038 may have more info on size.

so 78 inch robots on carts are likely not to fit without considerable tipping or dis-assembly?

We are looking at modifying our cart with a cradle to tilt the robot during transport.

This will likely be the case for most venues. Our poor driveteam will be taking the robot off for every door.

I have a feeling that furniture dollies are going to be very popular for robot carts this year...

There are no low entrances at QC that I remember from last year. You should have no problem.

Leaving the Auxillary Pit area where the practice field is located will have clearance issues. Though it is not a standard door, it is only ~93 inches from the floor, so the height of your cart to the floor would determine whether a 78 inch robot would clear. When we get all of the information together for this years event, including the above, I will be sending out an Event Manual detailing this.
