Testing Code without Deploying it

Does anyone know how to test code without having to deploy it to the robot?
Is anyone using FRCSim?

Sadly, Linux support is pretty bad. So even though FRCSim is exclusively for Linux, it doesn't work. The installer script fails. So, if you wanna test, you'll have to deploy.
