Heres the scoop - The 4 divisions will be determined by taking all the teams that are going and counting them off 1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4, until everyone has a number! So if you want to know who will be in your division check out the team roster going to nationals and start counting!

Actually, I thought the rules said that the first seeds
at the regionals would be counted off in the 1,2,3,4,
style first and then everyone else would follow...I'll
recheck but that was supposedly the way they were going
to proceed.

Rule T6: ...teams will be evenly distributed into four "divisions"...
Other than that word "evenly," it doesn't really say anywhere how they're going to do it...

I beleive that someone said the divisions weren't going to be made untill thursday night, when they know who didn't show up.
So anything that you do now is just wasted time and effort.

I think the most effective way of spreading teams into each division is to have each team send a represent to an open area, then FIRST will tell all the people to "randomly walk around" for 10 minutes while "blind-folded". Then, they will just stand still until a FIRST person call out 1,2,3,4 and grab a person randomly as they call each number out.

COOL!
No kidding, I think Ken is onto something!
I wanna be our representative, just imagine hundreds of blindfolded team captains wandering around in a big field being randomly grabbed by FIRST staff...

Thats not a bad idea Ken but what if they blidfolded every one and gave them base ball bats and the last four standing are in the finals, the spare team could be the first representive that gets the most amount of hits. If there is a draw then they could have a hit off game........ naaaah
How many days to go?????

Actually, what they'd probably do, is put the teams into an excel spreadsheet, assign each a random number, and sort them based on the number. then you just divide the list into fourths. Just my thoughts, though.
