There was some talk in this thread (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=130303&page=3) about issues with loosing encoder count during a brownout condition. I also noticed that 971 had some pictures on their Picasa album (https://picasaweb.google.com/117769834305511597729)(the pictures seem to be no longer up) of a RoboRio breakout board containing what looks like a buck-boost converter powering their DIO.
Has anyone done any testing with a secondary power supply for the DIO? While I realize their are software solutions to this problem I'd rather fix it at the source.
