I was just surfing on the battlebots page... and it says that they might be doing a high school battlebots competition... click on the link below to see it...

At the long Island Regional, the executive producer of BattleBots was there and came up to Team 190 (probably all other teams as well), and gave our team leader Ken a business card saying that Comedy Central was going to be putting together a "watered-down" verson of battlebots on TV starting next fall, and if we were interested to give him a call.... maybe the same thing that this is too.......

I think BattleBots Inc. heard about the FIRST competition, and is following up on the idea --cuz its a good one.

Just saw some add for a new Robotics Competition on TLC Wed nights 9pm EST April. Don't know what's it about but robotics competitions are catching on to the media.

I've seen the commercials for that show. I seriously hope it's better than it looks, cause it looks like robot wars without the cool house robots and cool host.

I shudder to image my classmates responses when they find out that I'm in our schools robotics club. They say,"Great job at the regionals, but you know what, you should battlebots, now that is cool." It is madening that I get that from EVERYBODY who mentions the robotics club to me.
