Anyone have experience with the Team Social at Duluth?
This is our first trip to Duluth, and wonder if the Team Social is worth it? At some other regionals, it was just a cheap meal alternative.
Would be happy to help you, Rich, but Team 1091 hasn't been to Duluth. But looking forward to seeing you at Sussex on Sunday.

I've always enjoyed the Duluth Team Social! They have a large amount and a large variety of food for everyone!

We were up there two previous years and the food and socializing during the team social were fun and I think enjoyed by most students and Mentors alike. Very nice regional!
If by team social you mean the spaghetti/pizza dinner at Grandma's, it's so worth it. Theres an arcade too, plus some rooms available to discuss strategy with other teams in.

I would highly recommend this event! Every year it is a great time to network with other teams. This is often the favorite event for members at the end of the weekend, Plus the food is pretty good.

From what I have heard (since I have never been) it is a great event for teams to go to. You would think being a Duluth native and mentor for a Duluth team I would have made it once by now...

That team social was one of the better ones we ever attended for an FRC regional!

I have never made it to the team social in Duluth yet I live here, but I have heard it is great. I do know for sure Grandmas does have great food, but if you are looking for other options feel free to PM me and I can recommend other places to eat that might not be so packed.

Thanks for your responses. They have helped to convince the Travel Mentor to add the Team Social to the itinerary.
FYI: I think the "arcade" comment sealed the deal.
Do you think the Boxing Ring will be setup?
