Driver station lag?

while loading the driver station on the team's computer today, we noticed it would not respond within a reasonable amount of time. whenever a tab on it is pressed, such as settings, it will take a few minutes for it to change. Likewise, for the Enabled button, it does not load immediately. What can be the problem? thanks in advance!

There was a driver station update a few days ago, make sure you're using the latest driver station version (in FRC Update 2015.1.0).

Try restarting your computer. Whenever we have Driver Station, restarting almost always fixes them.

On this link (http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/frc/competition-manual-and-related-documents), there's a link for "Team Updates," which you can either see as a pdf or through a web viewer. If you look through that, there's a link to the driver station update, which is this link (http://www.ni.com/download/first-robotics-software-2015/5112/en/). However, you should make a habit of monitoring that team update document, because that's where the most recent information about driver station and code updates will be, along with updates to the game manual.

The DS released at kickoff could have buttons that didn't work due to firewall SW blocking mDNS communication messages.

The DS that is in the update will now post a message to the right pane telling you that you may have a firewall problem when mDNS doesn't respond quickly enough. The buttons of the UI will not be affected.
