MARS is excited to be returning to Pittsburgh after our brief hiatus last year. I can't wait to see the new facility and some familiar faces. It should be a great event!

I can't wait, I'm glad that Pittsburgh is an early regional this year.
Is everything okay in your build space?

2656 is super excited to bring 'Grace' out for our 8th Pittsburgh Regional!
Here's a list of teams attending (as of now) by team number:
48, 117, 128, 144, 156, 291, 306, 337, 379, 451, 772, 888, 1014, 1126, 1507, 1629, 1708, 1743, 1885, 2051, 2252, 2399, 2534, 2544, 2603, 2614, 2641, 2656, 2665, 3015, 3062, 3138, 3260, 3324, 3504, 3511, 3591, 3954, 3955, 3957, 4027, 4031, 4049, 4050, 4150, 4269, 4467, 4484, 4547, 4601, 4615, 4991, 5413, 5740
And now, reading through that, we're also excited to have our number confused with 2665!
It seems like there's almost a dozen more teams than last season at Cal U. MARS and Innovators Robotics will be back this year after not playing PGH last season. Soooooo many strong teams are playing here in March. I can't wait to see what each program has come up with.
Team 1708 is excited as always to come back to the Pittsburgh Regional as well as attending the Buckeye Regional this year! Good luck to all teams attending!

While I can't officially speak for 1507 anymore, I'm sure they're excited to return to Pitt for the first time since taking home a silver in 2011.

There are a few good places to eat and not too expensive. Spuds, Sigz Bistro, High Point, and Campy's to name a few. Glad to see everyone coming!

I feel bad for the emcee. 2614, 2641, 2656, 2655.

Yeah, it's all just fine, thanks for asking! Didn't actually lose a whole lot of valuables, and with the dehumidifiers running all night afterwards, we were back and running the next day. For those that don't know, we found that there is in fact water on MARS. :yikes:

I tried to get 2640 in as well...but it wasn't meant to be. Oh well, we'll have to settle for Myrtle Beach instead of Tropical Western PA!
1885 is excited for Pittsburgh! Hope you guys are ready for some purple ;)

Hey everyone! Last year for Newton there was a big spreadsheet that everyone filled out for prescouting about their robots. I was thinking that it would be nice if we could do the same thing, getting a feel for everyone's robot beforehand. There are places for a video or picture of your robot, as well as what all your robot can do on the field. It would be nice if we could get everyone to fill it out, so we can get an idea of all the great robots attending Pittsburgh this year, especially with it being the second week of competition!
Feel free to add any columns of information you think would be helpful!

Yes, 1507 is looking forward to competing in Pittsburgh again after making it to the finals in 2011.
For those who competed in Pittsburgh last year, how does the new venue compare to the old Petersen Events Center?

Team 48 will be handling the Pittsburgh Regional webcast this year.
For now, I know you will be able to access the webcast via http://live.delphielite.com. Direct links are forthcoming.
The plan is to have 2 feeds - a standard production view (via YouTube) and a GoPro full field view (via ustream.tv).
I've been told matches will be recorded.

Thank you Travis for Team 48's ability to stream the Pittsburgh Regional as I have a numerous amount of co-workers willing to watch this year's competition as they were intrigued with what FIRST is and robotics in general.

Any chance pratice day will be broadcast?
For anyone who isn't watching the weather, you should be (http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=40.4406&lon=-79.9959&unit=0&lg=english&FcstType=graphical). The forcasted rain could easily get nasty if the temperature profile changes tonight by even a smidge the wrong way. Be safe on the roads tomorrow!

The roads and sidewalks are already getting pretty bad here in Pittsburgh, I'd expect conditions to be similar in California, PA. x2 to everyone being extremely careful on the way there.

Is the link up on TBA or NASA? Our folks have been looking for the webcast and don't use CD so didn't think to come here.

The Greater Pittsburgh Regional A/V Crew will only be using one camera during matches, so we will stream that feed and not a GoPro stream.

Can I request that the camera does not pan and is a full field view or is that not possible?
Looks like someone left the camera on. It says the stream is still live.
