We are building a robot for display purposes using the 2014 control system. Our problem is that we got rid of the 2014 driver station software on our driver station computer at the beginning of this season, so we can't drive our display robot. Does anyone know if and how we can get the 2014 driver station software back? Thank you.

Alternately, use the updated 2015 software and select the 14' DS and FMS option (or something like that, going from memory).

Right. The most recent Driver Station update (version 09021500) can be configured to use the 2014 robot communication protocol. (It doesn't remember the setting and always starts up with 2015, so you'll have to change it every time.)

I believe this was only in the beta version of the 2015 DS. You can still change to the 2014 FMS protocol but can not run the old control system with the new DS. This may have changed with some update, but when my team tried to run our old robot with the new DS during week 2 we could not get it to work. We just had to download the old DS (though it did take forever to find as National Instruments no longer offers it; now we have switched that robot to the new control system).

It was true for beta, and it's true for the Mandatory DS update. It was not true for the DS version released at kickoff.
