Team 5413 "Stellar Robotics" is proud to present our rookie creation: Guido
Release Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aN7MZePPwSU
Drivetrain: Kitbot drivetrain
Elevator: 1-Stage elevator powered by a CIM through a 10:1 versaplanetary gearbox. Geared for about 40 inches per second linear speed. Able to lift a full stack of totes.
Gripper: Pneumatically actuated, double 4-bar linkage gripper. Can grab totes length-wise and width-wise, can grab RC upright, length-wise, and sideways (top to bottom laying down).
Guido is designed for simplicity and robustness. Other than the drivetrain it only has two axis of control (1 motor for the elevator, and 1 solenoid valve for the gripper).
We finished building after three weeks and had three weeks of drive practice.
