While trying to update my team's driver station, I came to a screen that required the serial number given to us in the KOP. Ever since a few days after taking inventory of the KOP, however, the documents have been misplaced. Is there any way, other than checking the KOP, we could retrieve this serial number?

The NI License Manager should be able to show you the last serial number you gave it even if the license has expired.

Start -> All Programs -> National Instruments -> NI License Manager

Double-click any product name. The serial number field should be pre-populated.




Or, if you have LabVIEW running anywhere, you can see the serial number by choosing About LabVIEW... from the Help menu.

If you don't enter the serial number during installation, you'll be given the option to activate after you've finished installing. When activated after installing, the old serial number was already entered.
