From today's FRC Blog Post (http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/frc/blog-District-Ranks-Events-and-Pool-Noodle-Recycling):

District Ranking Reporting

Good news, I think. District team ranking has been automated and centralized (using the standard points system published in FRC Admin Manual - Section 7). Districts no longer need to calculate or track ranking information themselves, and teams can go to this common website (http://frc-districtrankings.usfirst.org/) for up to date ranking information.

Extensive testing has been conducted on the system, but not yet with live event data. Because of this, we are holding off on posting Week 1 District results until we have a chance to verify functionality with live data. Week 1 results should be up by Noon (Eastern Time), on Monday, March 2nd (but we may be able to post earlier). After that, we intend to allow the system to run in semi-real time, with regular updates.

Remember, the only element of the standard points system that applies during qualification matches is the element associated with team rank. With this season’s game, you can expect rank to fluctuate a great deal in the early matches, so you shouldn’t give those points much consideration until later in the event. Finalized points will be available shortly after the event on the website.

I want to thank our FRC software staff for the huge effort they put forward in getting this ready for this season. And a special shout out also to Paul Malmsten, FRC alumnus and volunteer, who did most of the programming related to the points system itself! Thanks everyone!

I have gone out to the website several times. Unless I am missing something, the district rankings still have not been published for any district. According to the FRC Blog Posting, they were supposed to be up yesterday by noon.

I am not complaining. I know that sometimes things do not go as planned. I am just wondering if anyone has an updated timeline of when the rankings will be posted.

The new ETA is tomorrow.

FWIW, I have you guys in 24th place by our estimates, with 41 points.

And they are up now for most Districts. Thanks everyone involved with this!

Thanks to everyone who helped put this together. I did notice one minor issue still in the District Rankings. The New England rankings (http://frc-districtrankings.usfirst.org/NE) include 3314 (http://www.thebluealliance.com/team/3314), who I believe is a MAR team. They competed in Waterbury, but it doesn't look like the system checks for inter-district teams before generating the rankings.

Something I saw on the site confused me. When you click on a team it gives you the breakdown of their events, matches, awards etc. In the awards section, teams that have "District Event Winner" have next to that under notes "District Championship Qualifying Award." I was under the impression that winning an event did not automatically qualify a team for the DCMP, and that Chairman's was the only auto-qualifying award. Does anyone know if this is a mistake or not?

I had the same reaction. A quick look through the Administrative Manual didn't turn up anything, but I might have missed it...

The manual would imply that it is a mistake. Because it makes no mention of any automatic qualifying other than the Chairman's Award.

That would be a mistake winning a district event does not qualify for DCMP. Chairman's is the only award that qualifies the team and the robot for DCMP. Rookie All Star and Engineering Insperation qualify the team for DCMP where they can earn a spot at CMP for the team and the robot for winning that award at DCMP.

I sent them an email regarding it and they deferred me to asking the same thing on the Q&A. Well, regardless, the note for District Event Winner is now corrected, so it seems they got it all figured out.
