I was watching highlight videos today and noticed more than one alliance captain for for a team during alliance selections. Is this really allowed? I had the understanding that only one person was allowed and confirmed this in the rules. But I may have missed an exception somewhere. Does anyone know for sure?

This is great if it's allowed. It would help so many nervous alliance captains. I can also see a senior captain having a younger member tag a long for experience.

Is one of the students possibly deaf or blind (or some other disability)? Q443 (https://frc-qa.usfirst.org/Question/443/is-an-interpreter-for-a-deaf-student-allowed-to-be-in-the-alliance-station) is from a different team, but that could at least be a possibility (in my mind) for having two representatives on the field.

I was there: the girl has issues reading numbers so the guy went out to help when she needed it

At Rock City one captain tried to send two students to make selections and was told they could only have one. It's good to hear that appropriate exceptions can be made.
