Great effort.

Did 3528s human player get any fouls on him? He looked to be reaching into the human player zone as he handed off totes.

Two people cannot stand in the human player zone but they can pass off.

G5 Only one ALLIANCE member may be in each HUMAN PLAYER ZONE (i.e. touching the carpet in a HUMAN PLAYER ZONE),
in contact with elements of that HUMAN PLAYER STATION (i.e. elements depicted in Figure 2-12), or in the HUMAN PLAYER
ZONE and in contact with the the elements of that HUMAN PLAYER STATION, at a time.
VIOLATION: FOUL. Additional FOUL for each TOTE entered onto the FIELD while in violation of this rule.

Blue BoxThe intent of G5 is to ensure that one ALLIANCE member does not work the elements of the HUMAN PLAYER STATION while another
ALLIANCE member feeds TOTES or LITTER into their respective CHUTES. TOTES, even if in the HUMAN PLAYER ZONE, are not
elements of the HUMAN PLAYER STATION, and therefore not affected by G5 (i.e. two people can be in contact with the same
TOTE simultaneously).

With the current rule wording, am I correct to assume that as long as the second human player doesn't physically step into the carpet but still puts totes into the shoot while the other holds the door open, there would not be a foul applied?

In this video it definitely looks like the girl from S.W.A.T. could have held open the door while the man in the pink feeds totes in; it's late though and I may be not reading the rule correctly.

Megan was amazing! (She was S.W.A.T's Human Player) I had the chance to play as Human Player with her during playoffs as 1730 Team Driven's Human Player. S.W.A.T was amazing to work with and I hope they do amazing things in World Champs!

Yes it would be a foul if the guy fed the totes into the chute even if he wasn't in the Human Player Zone.

It was great working with everyone from Team Driven also. We had a great experience, and look forward to playing with everyone from your team again in the future. 1 in 8 chance we are on the same field at worlds!!!

The Blue Box for G5 could not be any clearer that this is exactly the action the rule was written to prevent. I would fully expect any Q&A to deem this illegal. I would also expect it to be called as a penalty with the rule written the way it is, and it to be left to the discretion of the Head Ref, who will likely refer to the blue box. Absent a Q&A that specifically allows this, I would not attempt it.

I don't think it could be more clear how well drilled she was. There was no wasted time or movement, and no way for her to accidentally cause a penalty, or for the ref to believe she may be doing something illegal. Very impressive.

Awesome! Great robot

Your human player has great technique, putting her "tote arm" behind her back when she opens the chute door. (yes …)

I cannot see the tether from the video angle - what did you guys use and did you have any issues with entanglement?

Great robot!!

Thanks, after a small amount of testing we found a 14-16 gauge wire that was very soft and flexible. We didn't have a single problem with tangling during any of our matches, or any of the testing. I'll see if I can track down exactly where we ordered it from and get back to you.

Cool!

We have a ramp built in to our bot, so won't need to tether ourselves, but I think we will see more and more teams adopt this approach in the final weeks. I think it makes sense for us to bring some materials and come prepared to help others that could benefit from a tethered ramp strategy.

Thanks!

The finals matches are on Team Driven's YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/teamdriven1730/videos).
The reason we were't able to set bins upright in Finals 2 is because the tab on the end of the right fork on our lift broke in match 1, and the replacement was way too stiff.

Edit: Also, I believe the tether was from Digikey
