First,I think this is going to be a great event, it always is.
I believe this event has the potential for very high scores based on the number of 20 pt autonomous robots (4003,2054,107... I hope I didn't forget anyone) and the depth of quality robots. Also, being week 4 I would expect
teams to dramatically improve.( I would love to see scores in the 150 to 170 through out qualifying and higher in eliminations)
I also read a fun fact from team 74 that the winner of this event has made it to Einstein the past two years.
If your team has made improvements since you last competition please lets post them and let the other teams know. For example . team 107 added a 20 pt auton and increase the speed of our stacker this helped us go from 53.08 to 92.75 average match score. Good luck to all the teams this weekend !

Practice matches were pretty impressive, makes me super excited for qualification matches.
Here's some big points put up by 107, 85, and 1718

As for us, we were 2 for 2 on our 20 point autonomous! We wanted to try our landfill 4 tote autonomous, but I forgot to select the code from the dashboard.

Team 74 can't be wrong, can they?
After struggling at the feeder station at Howell (and seeing 107's pass-thru loader) we did the only logical thing - we threw in some re-cycled Lunacy Regolith and, viola, we could make stacks!
West Michigan was a great event (as usual). The depth of talent there always makes the game look good. GVSU is a great facility, and the volunteers made everything run smoothly. Thank you all.
Thanks to 107 for the cylinder, 2054 for the Lexan, and everybody else for the kind words of encouragement, etc.
Thanks to 2137 and 2405 for working so well as an alliance. They say this game is like work, and you were both experts in your specialty fields. We hope to work with you all again soon.
PS: Speaking of 74 - IMHO, they were the most improved machine at the event. Good job! I expect to see a significantly different looking game at MSC.

Wayne,
Congrats on the win with Torc and 2405. You made a great alliance together. With the changes to your machine it looks like you have the right stuff to go far at MSC and beyond. The canburgler auto will become more valuable as the stacking gets better.
Team Torc
Thanks for lunch on Saturday. I really enjoyed talking with you and I was starving.
Thanks to our alliance captain 4003 TriSonics for having us on your alliance and to 4956 for joining us. We did well to make it into the semifinals with such good competing alliances.
See all you guys at MSC!:D

Thanks for the shoutout Wayne! We are all proud of the changes we made to our robot and had a great time at the event. Thanks to 85 for picking us, when we saw our match schedule we were disappointed we didn't have a match with you guys, and thanks to 5316 for playing a huge part in our strategy. We can't wait to show off our further improvements this weekend at Escanaba.
We also find it kind of funny that we won the Innovation and Control for our autonomous changer/ displayer even though we sat still all weekend.
I think I can speak for my whole team when I say we had a great time at our first event on the west side of the state! Grand Valley was a wonderful facility with tons of seating!
Thanks to the NC Gears for picking us to join your alliance in eliminations when there were plenty of good robots to choose from!
I would like to give a shout out to 4003 for most consistent autonomous.
We are hoping to make some big improvements before Bedford and MSC.
Team 85 had a blast once again this year with so many great teams attending. Thank you to Team 74 and 5316 for joining our alliance, everything seemed to fall in place and it was great to work with you two!
The competition did not disappoint, there were 5 of the top 10 FIM OPR teams in attendance (1918, 2137, 107, 2054, and 4967). It was amazing to watch these teams work throughout the weekend to climb to the top of the ranks. We are hoping we can hang with them and the rest of the great Michigan teams come MSC!
