As drivers, having more information improves our ability to coordinate with other teams and plan for matches.

Team 5136 has created an application that drivers, and others like scouters, can download to their Android in order to have all the information necessary to make on-the-spot decisions about how to play a match.

The first screen allows you to pick your team number and it displays the competitions that you are participating in.

If you click on a Regional, you will then be presented with all of the qualification matches that you are in along with your alliance partners and opponents. If the match has already been played, it will display the scores.

If you click on a specific match you will see the stats for everyone in your alliance and the opposing alliance. The stats displayed are: Current Rank, Average Score for all games played, total autonomous points, total container points, total litter points, total tote stacking points as well as the number of games that each team has played.

This app was originally designed for our team only. However, as we have found it to be a valuable tool to use during the matches, other teams might benefit from this app also.

I would like to make this app as useful as possible to all teams. If you have any suggestions for modifications or improvements, that would be greatly appreciated.

This looks awesome! Thanks!

P.S. Here's the link for anyone wanting to download it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.team5136.app.team5136driverapp

That's a great idea.

It's not a great name, though. I think "Driver Console" is likely to be misunderstood to mean the hardware -- joysticks, laptop computer, switches, etc. -- used to control the robot.

I agree. It felt a little like clickbait, the name indicates that one could use their phone as a driver console/station.

Good advice about changing the name.

Any suggestions?

This looks great. I'm planning on downloading this for myself and the rest of the drive team in time for the Oklahoma regional. If you're open to community input, I think it'd be great if match times could be included alongside each match to be used for reference. I'm not familiar with the APIs FIRST uses, though, so I don't even know if that's a possibility. Thanks for sharing this with us, it looks like it's going to be a fantastic resource at competition!

Good suggestion about the times. I will look into it further. I won't be able to update until after your regional in Oklahoma though.

Good luck this weekend!
