It took me a minute to realize that's an actual ladder ;)
Is that your starting configuration?

Wut. Both your robots have begun to look like ladders after staring at that for a while.
According to what happened to 148, nothing can start touching the pieces (so their winch was banned). Thus, this would be deemed illegal, as a string seems to be attached to a bin. Interesting concept though, certainly seems out of the box.

Curious on how zipline worked out for you guys after seeing it in the reveal. Pretty unique system to have a separate robot raise the cans while you build the stack. Hopefully we can see it at state in May!

Alfred was deemed illegal because the string they used was not visible enough, not because the string was touching the RCs.

This used to be our actual starting configuration. This picture was taken during one of our Thursday practice matches. The head referee communicated with the GDC Thursday night, and told us Friday morning that this was not a legal starting configuration because, in his opinion, the RCs are supporting the robot.
We developed a workaround at 10K, but were not ready to use it for that event. Our hooks will now dangle inside of the RCs without contacting them. Hopefully we will be able to show off Zipline at champs and the state championship.
Can you explain to me what exactly this does? I don't understand.
