It was found in the woods. I'm happy for these guys. I hope their machine is in good shape.

That's awesome! I was not expecting that to happen.

That is great news. I hope they go far at World's.

That's really cool, it was even found with all their tools and things. Good luck at Worlds!

Strange place to for somebody to find a robot, hopefully the weather in Virginia has been pleasant.

Well the SUV is still missing and thief hasn't been caught. But at least they got the robot back

These are tough times. A man can get a job. He might not look too close at what that job is. But a man learns all the details of a situation like ours... well... then he has a choice.

Wonder if maybe they felt bad about taking from children.

Venturing further down the limb, considering the robot and tools were recovered after a "tip," it certainly seems that way to me.

Just curious, but how far along were they on getting their practice bot ready?

I was thinking that too. Our practice bot this year has been on and off in better shape than our regular robot due to lack of wear and tear.

Jesse reports:
I was able to stop by for a few hours on Saturday. They quite literally lost everything - wires, wrenches, bolts, etc.

Their practice robot was being re-wired with the help of 116's electrical team since they didn't have the correct wiring size for a few things. Their intake was nearly complete. Their lift carriage was completed and waiting for the rest of the robot. Their top bar, with 2 constant-force springs was almost ready. Their crate was being painted as I left. They also met on Sunday, but I wasn't able to make it out. They had a hard deadline to ship by today (Tuesday) just like the DCMP teams do.

They had a guy from the community stop by to give them some pizza from Domino's. The Washington Redskins gave them a 'care package', which is cool on the surface. There has been plenty of support by the Loudon County execs from various entities. I think if a few teams stop by to help with any unexpected things that pop up, they'll do great things at Champs.

FRC: so inspiring, even car thieves can't handle it.
