My husband and I mentor 2342 Team Phoenix in Nashua NH but I am looking for FRC teams in Central NJ. My niece will be 13 this summer and I would love to find some teams near Rutgers College that would take home school students for her to come and check out.

Hey there! 1923 happily takes students who don't have a place within their school (or homeschool, in this case.) I'll send you a PM. :)

Team 75 here, we already have one home-schooled student on our team but we are always open to anyone to join our team.
If you need more information feel free to send me a personal message, and we would be glad to help or contact president@roboraiders.com

Thank you everyone.
I will see her Memorial Day weekend and we will talk about it then. I will contact the teams near her to find out more about them.

team 75 is a fantastic program, I spent about 5 years with them and learned so much. I highly recommend them, all the other teams around them are fantastic as well.
To echo the above posts, Teams 25, 75, 1923, and all the other teams mentioned in this thread all have amazing programs. If possible, I would recommend suggesting to your niece to visit either Monty Madness at Montgomery High School in Skillman, NJ on May 16th (http://www.montymadness.com/) or MidKnight Mayhem at West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North in Plainsboro, NJ on June 27th (http://www.midknightmayhem.org/) (both of which are off-season competitions) to introduce herself to the local teams and see which would be the best fit for her. Good luck!
