View Full Version : Future FIRST & VEX Championship Date Conflicts

Both FIRST and VEX have released the dates for their Championships in the coming years, and it looks like they will overlap again soon. VEX has also announced that they will be staying in Louisville, Kentucky for the next 4 years.

So 2016 looks to be clear, but VEX Worlds will conflict with FIRST Champs Houston in 2017, FIRST Champs Detroit in 2018, and FIRST Champs Detroit in 2019. Also interesting is that there looks to be an extra week in between FIRST Champs Houston and FIRST Champs Detroit in 2019. Any thoughts on this?

Both competitions operate themselves in very tight windows up against AP exams. FIRST decided on occupying 2 weekends and VEX was bound to happen on one of them. It happens, but that doesn't mean its ideal.
