The 2015 Central Ohio Robotics Invitational (sponsored by the Central Ohio Robotics Initiative (www.growrobotics.org), a program of the PAST Foundation (http://pastfoundation.org/)) is Saturday June 20 at Dublin Coffman High School (https://www.google.com/maps/place/Dublin+Coffman+High+School/@40.107389,-83.130949,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x8838ecd3b8e843eb:0x1748f ebab1b25586) in Dublin, Ohio. Registration for the event can be done at this link (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2015-cori-robotics-invitational-sponsored-by-honda-tickets-15467040334).
There are plenty of hotels and restaurants close to the venue, which uses both the main and auxiliary gymnasiums of the high school. Registration will remain open until we hit our team limit.
Here is a link (http://growrobotics.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/2014_Award_Winners1.pdf) to last year's award winners.

That sounds more like an Open than an Invitational.

Yes, that is true. But CORO doesn't have the same ring as CORI.

It's an Invitation to all teams...that works right?

Dublin is about 4 hours west of us here in Pittsburgh. I'll let 2656 know about this opportunity.
How many teams competed at this event last season?
We always have 24 -32 teams. Last year we had 30 Teams.

I will probably always think of this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LYy_mSVMAQ) when I think of MARS' two robots at CORI.

Thats really cool.
We can field our practice bot as well if its needed. At least I won't have bill yelling at me to have 2 sets of bumpers. We made a second set of license plates with 1039 on them just for CORI.

Jimmy, I think we will be OK but if you want to add a robot please go ahead and register them. I think the Innovators are lending their practice bot to the new Oakwood team. We are fielding two but might have another potential rookie help run it. 2614 and 2615 are always impressive at CORI.
Jimmy would not have it any other way. Right and that is a capital B to you Jimmy.

Team 3193 is disappointed to report that we will not be attending CORI in the 2015 off-season. We have attended the wonderful event for the past 3 years, but plans have somehow overlapped and it left us with this regretful decision. I'm positive that all of the teams in attendance this year will have a memorable time; both veteran and rookie attendees. I know that I certainly have for the past 2 years which I have been on the team as a student. Everyone can make sure that we will make it one of our goals to return for the 2016 season and make it a good one. I give this event the highest praise that a student can give, and on behalf of team 3193 we wish you all luck. :)

I am really happy that SparX is going to attend. I have seen 1126 many times at other competitions we have attended and they are always excellent representatives of FIRST. And I am sorry that 3193 can't make it this year. I do hope you make it back next year.

Haha, most people do. One of the highlights for us as well when we talk about CORI. This year, I just want to see one match where we are against ourselves and see our 3-tote auto working in mirror to each other.
On a different note, does anybody know if there is a need for volunteers? If so, where do we register? I'm usually teaching the boy scouts' robotics merit badge at the event but haven't been contacted about it this year. So I'm available anywhere that needs help.

These teams are all practice robots. FMS pulls team numbers from FIRST database, so you have to use a number that exists in the database in order for you to use a practice robot in a tournament.

The list is kinda sorta final. Meaning if another team wants to participate team 1015 will pull out and make room for them. We have a second robot to bring the total to 32 so their can be 4 team alliances for eliminations. We can just take use robot if someone else wants to play.

So can you make a list of all the teams at this event have two robots entering? just want to make sure of those teams for scouting. I don't want to be surprised to find out that 4146 is really 4145-2. Thanks! I like to do some pre-scouting so this will help me out,
Double robots are:
1014 Bad Robots 2nd 1015
1038 Thunderhawks 2nd 1039
2614 Mars 2nd 2615
3138 Innovators Robotics 2nd robot is 3139 Pre rookie team New Oakwood
3324 The Metrobots 2nd 3234
4145 WorBots 2nd 4146
Hope this help you

Using Ed Law's (Coach for 2834) Scouting Database and some of my own excel magic, I made this excel sheet for people to look at for pre-event scouting. Probably won't be used for any major decisions at the event but, this should help people get to know the teams a little bit. Especially the teams that they have never seen before. Enjoy and thanks again to Ed Law.
If anyone would like to suggest anything to add, feel free to do so.I have plenty of time on my hands to add anything you want as long as I can do it. Thank for viewing!

234, 2614 and 3266 won CORI today. Congratulations on an excellent performance all around. Congrats to the runners up from 4145, *4146* and 1720. You played very well, and bounced back beautifully from a rough first elimination match. Big congratulations to 1126 for their 11 stack scored in the final round of the semi-finals. It was fantastic to watch, and the whole place went nuts when they got it on the platform. Thanks for all of the teams who came and played. And a big thank you to Bill Kautz and Ann Ralston of the Central Ohio Robotics Initiative for putting on a great event again. Finally, thank you to our alliance partners 3324 and 1038. When you can't win it is great at least to play with friends.
Just wanted to thank our great partners 234 and 3266 at CORI. Team 2614 MARS and team 2614b MARS had a great time at CORI. We all survived the rain and the entire event went very smoothly. Congrats to 4145, 4145b and 1720 for an excellent finals round and to all the other teams that came out to CORI. Bill Kautz and his team put on a great event as always.
