View Full Version : [TBA] Champs Real-time Results

As anyone who's tried to check event results on TBA knows, FIRST is having issues with uploading and providing match results over their API. In an effort to provide as much data as possible, one of our devs hacked together a live score updating page for the website last night and we've contacted trustworthy people in each division to upload scores as soon as they're posted. Ranking data will be intermittent because we rely on FIRST for that, but at least people will be able to see match scores.

Thanks to our friends from 2338, 254, 1625, 111, 1124, 118, 1114, and 3132 for posting scores as they're announced!

Here's the interface, if anyone's interested. Not bad for a 2am coding session!

While I certainly appreciate this, I feel that it may be appropriate to point out a teensy little problem that TBA may be having (namely, the same alliance for red and blue, although the scores look correct):
18907

Edit: I saw the issue tracker on github. Looks like it's being taken care of.

Thanks for all the teams in the dome helping get scores posted - the FRC community is pretty awesome!

Due to the manual nature of input, results might be intermittent and have slight errors - if anybody sees that, just let us know and we'll take care of it.

Edit: I saw the issue tracker on github. Looks like it's being taken care of.

Yeah, that should be fixed soon. 2 am coding sessions can't be perfect :P

It will be fixed for new inputs. I will go back and fix all of the incorrect data in a bit.

Another screenshot of the final interface.
This is actually a good dry-run for offseason events.

Riding your coat tails, I put together a quick app to show ranking based on average score (note it does not take into account DQs or tie breakers)

Thanks for putting this together last night, you guys are awesome!

What about surrogates?

mwtidd
24-04-2015, 13:25
What about surrogates?

Not yet, do you guys expose that in the API?

Do you expose DQs as well?

[UPDATE]

I manually grabbed the surrogates. Should be skipping their matches now.

Same with the DQs that were posted on the event site.

Also, do you guys do CORS headers? I'm having to route API requests through a server right now to avoid cross origin errors.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Not making the trip this year killed me and not knowing what was going on at all has been eating me alive. Thanks for your hard work!

Do you have the score? :)

In seriousness, once they post the results from FMS after matches tonight, we'll sync TBA again, so any matches that were missed today should be up later tonight.

Even though I love the love coming from TBA, Alliance 6 did not win Carver; we were eliminated in the semifinals.

You need to change Semi 2 Blue Score to 158.

What happened on Archimedes? Based on the averages alliance 8 should have been in the finals, but instead alliance 1 advanced and just won?

Hopefully, FIRST should post all the playoff results from each division once they finished, so we'll do a major sync and eliminate scoring errors. Hopefully, this will be soon

They're tearing down the fields that aren't Archimedes or Tesla fairly quickly. (Newton's carpet is already up.) I don't know if they're leaving the electronics up long enough to post the results.

A huge thanks to everybody who helped contribute real time scores this weekend! Special thanks to teams 2338, 254, 1625, 111, 1124, 118, 1114, and 3132 for having members in the stands post scores for everybody.

On the plus side, now TBA has a great way for offseason events to have real time scoring, so stay tuned for updates on that front!
