While I have enjoyed some of the paper airplanes that have been thrown people need to learn when to stop. Its a matter of time before it interferes with the game going on.

One made it to the blue alliance human load totes during last match. A few are getting all the way to the black curtain, and pretty high up too.

Evolution is occurring.
I have a feeling that FIRST uses wind currents to deflect incoming aircraft from the two fields....

I feel like putting up the 2013 nets around the field would help a fair amount to prevent paper airplanes from landing on the field. Food for thought next year I guess.

Once again, supervision problem. Mentors need to stop their students from throwing at inappropriate times.

I like seeing the airplanes that go far, but I absolutely hate the trash all over everywhere. This is a very different culture than I grew up with in FIRST (at regional events), and I think it's teaching the wrong things.
Everyone here is literally sitting and standing in a plethora of trash, and everyone carries the attitude that it's someone else's problem to clean up, because at this level, what can you do? It's sad, and gross. Walking through the dome I feel like I'm in a 3rd world country thay has no trash service or environmental standards. It's a problem of culture, values, and attitude. Behavior of throwing trash which has been demonstrated here would never be allowed at my school, home, or the workplace.
We need to have a one-time airplane toss at Championship, and eliminate the continual raining of trash down on the crowd and dome floor.
Or from throwing them at all. I can't think of a single serious sporting event that allows this kind of thing. It feels pretty amateurish sitting up here knowing people are free to just chuck crap on the field. Makes people take the event a lot less seriously...

This year it's really getting out of control. People tearing up paper and throwing it off the top level, and rolls of toilet paper being thrown and drooped from the upper level is not okay. It makes the final matches appear no better than an out of control college party.
