Really? Am I really the first one to post this to Chief? Back in my day this news would have broken here as soon as it hit the internet. Kids these days.... (http://www.unionleader.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=%2F20150526%2FNEWS02%2F150529474&template=mobileart)

Top 2 selling Appetizers: Exploding Bacon and Cheesy Poofs; along with the top selling meal, Thunder Chicken.

I'd like to order the Simbot Sirloin with extra HOT sauce and a side of Cheesy Poofs. Hold the Citrus.

The BBQ in that order is maxed out

Ok, I did not expect this to turn into Chief Deli 2.0 (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29685) so quickly.

Do we all get some Space Cookies for doing so well?

I could go for some ThunderChicken nuggets, with some SAUCE for the Taters.

After seeing the Andy Baker in the old thread, I'm tempted to bring one into work some day... Thanks for the idea Jess/original credit to Dave Lavery!

They're not waiters and waitresses - they're Payload Spec1al1sts!

Yelp review:
"Cute little place, nice ambiance, I enjoyed the Stirling silverware, but the green beans were a bit woodie. Lord, the Dumplings were fantastic though.
I noticed lots of people were eating cheesecake, but I couldn't find it on the menu."

So are they using city water, or is everything coming out of a Slingshot?

(And if so, will the customers know?)

What do you call a breakfast of champions? Exploding Bacon, Thunder Chickens, and Flying Toasters.

Should be interesting, hopefully in an Ottolenghi-eseque way. Food is just chemistry, after all.

Don't forget that many dishes are served with Blue Cheese dressing as well.. Citrus juice, soda, and water is offered as well.

There will also be a ton of seafood at this restaurant because the Duluth East Daredevils will provide us with the best fish out of lake superior.

Chute Door?Yes, chute door.

I wonder if the Average Joes can get a table at Dean's Foundry? Our dining budget is pretty modest.

I remember running into Dean at the Yard in Manchester a few years ago. Perks of being from southern NH.

One for my team:
Can I get that salad with a side of Cyber Blue Cheese Dressing?

For utensils, they'll have to use SPORKs.

They could, um, eat a rockete-... No that doesn't work.
What if they ate while in a rocke-... No that's still lame.
They could cook the food using rocket-... No that's probably unhealthy.

Curse my team's non-food-themed name!

As long as the food doesn't have any loose screws in it, I'll be fine.

They could cook the food using rocket-... No that's probably unhealthy.

I did a little digging about this idea, and if my sources are valid, liquid hydrogen was a rocket fuel. Cooking the food by burning liquid hydrogen should (assuming I remember my chemistry correctly) lead to the chemical reaction:

2H2 + O2 -> 2H2O

Dihydrogen monoxide, despite its scary name, is safe to consume.

However, you would also need a really strong oven, because rocket fuel produces enough force to lift a huge rocket into space. Additionally, you wouldn't want to cook it for very long, considering that the reaction produces a temperature of about 5,500 F.

TL;DR: If you manage to cook something with rocket fuel, it shouldn't have any harmful byproducts.

I will jump back in and say as a former Manch resident, this is a GREAT thing for this location. It's right on the water, has an awesome deck, and lots of space. Jillian's was a good fit while it was still there, and honestly the World Sports Bar was pretty lackluster in comparison. Dean putting in the parking garage to handle the needs of renovating the Pandora building (right across the way) will help this even further.

Dean owns roughly half of the millyard, and his dedication to keeping it intact while making it an awesome space is really admirable. I'm sure we will hear about this in the future ("If I can build a restaurant in 6 weeks...").

Sidenote: Honestly, I seriously flirted with the idea of opening and nerd-themed bar/restaurant in Manchester for a while. Not at this location, but close by, and I think it will resonate well with the downtown crowd.

Waiters and waitresses wear denim and serve food by riding around on segways.

Drive thru can be a chute door. Lol. Just open it and the food will slide right out!

Coals are "ready" very quickly, but not terribly useful....

Dean should start referring to bananas as "championships." That way, if I go to this place, for dessert I could have cheesecake and a championship split.

Cheesecake might be banned in the future... too high in calories and all

Is the food delivered by people on Segways controlling RC helicopters?

There isn't any waitstaff - meals are driven to the table by robots. Bumpers optional, but each robot must have the table number it is serving marked clearly so it can be seen from any angle.

Like the totes from the chute door, the food is either going to land right-side up or on its back, we really don't know until we find out.

In all seriousness, I'm looking forward to hopefully taking a trip up to Manchester later this summer to check the restaurant out. Sounds like it will be a cool place.

Congrats on the new endeavor Dean!

This seemed worth a repost on this thread:
So, what are you up to this offseason?

My team is planning on a Maize Craze off-season event, so I've started coding a Field Management System for it

It's much easier than coding one for any modern game because it won't involve any communication with the robots.

A cornball served on a flaming spork - I wonder if you can get that at the Foundry?

If you received food that was 67 degrees fahrenheit at this place, would it be considered HOT or cold?
