Hello!
Competition Robot Parts (CRP) had a great 2015 season with the success of our Elevator Roller Kit. We sold out several times and ending up seeing our product on some very successful robots.
In the interest of continued development, we have been working on a number of new products, and now we need to put together a focus group for feedback on these items.
We’re looking for individuals (not whole teams) who are from teams with a variety of budget levels, competition success, and experience. This will help the new line of products fit a wide range of teams better.
This won’t be a big time commitment. All that is needed is for the members of the focus group is to look over the potential new products as I send them out (probably every two weeks or so) and offer feedback on them. Members will need to have some knowledge about mechanical components, the budget constraints of their team, and be able to open and view CAD files (.step format).
Applicants must:
Be affiliated with an FRC team
Have access to CAD (Inventor, Solidworks, etc.)
Have access to and check email frequently
Sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement
Have a working knowledge of mechanical components and their use in FRC
Have some knowledge of the budget constraints of their team
Anyone who is interested and feels they match the criteria should fill out the application form on our website at: http://www.competitionrobotparts.com/application/. I will be accepting applications through June 21st and making the final decision a week or two after that.
In order to preserve CRP’s competitive edge and to build suspense for the new product launch, all members of the focus group must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement. This agreement basically says that you won’t give out any information regarding the new products without written consent from CRP. It’s not a large or intimidating document. This agreement will be sent out to the applicants that are selected to be part of the focus group. It can be returned via scanning or by a photograph.
If you have any questions about this process or anything else you can email me at competitionrobotparts@gmail.com.
