We will be holding the 2015 Ozark Mountain Brawl at the Little Rock Airport Holiday Inn Conference Center (http://www.ihg.com/holidayinn/hotels/us/en/little-rock/liteb/hoteldetail) October 2-3, 2015.
Load in will be Friday morning, Oct. 2 and we will begin matches around 1 pm, conclude qualification matches Saturday, Oct. 3 and hold the elimination tournament after lunch. Schedule is still in flux.
We will hold the competition in the atrium of the hotel, so it will be sort of a robot house party. The hotel is offering a discounted room rate of $89 per night and that includes breakfast. Please make every effort to stay there as they are donating the venue. Group code is "OMB" and reservations can be made online or over the phone.
Registration is $100 per team if you stay at the hotel and $200 if not. We are working on a team party or activity at the hotel Friday night as well.
Please pm me if you are interested in competing or need more information. I will post here as more details become available.

This sounds awesome, I don't think we have room for a 6th off-season event but I love this idea.
Please post pictures after the event.
How will you be doing seating/bleachers?

Allen,
We won't have a traditional set-up with bleachers. There are balconies and other areas that overlook the field. If you look at the photos below, the field will be on the rectangle side and the pits on the triangle side. It will be an interesting experience for sure. Hope it works. Free venues are good!

The 2015 Ozark Mountain Brawl Friday activities are going to be an official U S Manufacturing Day (http://www.mfgday.com/)event on Oct. 2.
News and link to details here. (http://arfirst.org/1/post/2015/07/mfg-day-event.html)
Has an FRC competition ever been an official MFG Day event? Do any of you know of one? Do any of your teams partner or participate in these events?
Thanks. Meredith

We still have plenty of room at the Brawl in Little Rock, AR Oct. 2-3, 2015. $100 registration if you stay in the very nice Holiday Inn Conference Center ($89 DBL with breakfast) and you can rappel down to the field from your room. Well, theoretically, but they are super-excited so we could probably work out something. Matches begin 2 pm Friday, but we can "average" you in if you come later.
We are also an official US Manufacturing Day event (http://www.mfgday.com/events/2015/arkansas-first-incorporated) and a proud supporter of Startup Arkansas Techtober (http://startuparkansas.com/techtober/).

I want to say thank you to everyone involved in the Brawl this year. What a great event to train new drive teams. We were rotating in 3 different drive teams and with the atmosphere and setup, I was easily able to get them the experience they needed. Great job and nice venue! It was awesome to meet up with the signature teams of Arkansas! I think this is going to be one of the best years for Arkansas FIRST. Thanks again for making the Brawl another great event Meredith and John!

Here is a video of the 2015 Ozark Mountain Brawl that was held in Little Rock Oct. 2-3. We were also a National Manufacturing Day event and we ran the whole think in a hotel atrium. It was different, but lots of fun.
